Mains Electrical System All repairs to the internal electrical wiring and distribution system within your home
Consumer Unit (Fuse Box) Repairs or replacement of fuse boxes, circuit breakers, RCDs, and isolators
Switches & Sockets Faulty light switches, electrical sockets, and connection points
Light Fittings Repairs to fixed light fittings (excluding the bulbs themselves)
Ceiling Fans Repairs to fixed ceiling fans (electrical components only)
Extractor Fans Repairs to extractor fans up to 15cm in diameter
Doorbells & Smoke Alarms Repairs to doorbells and hardwired smoke/heat alarms
Outside Lighting Repairs to exterior lights fixed to your home or outbuildings (fitted less than 3 metres above ground)
Replacement of Parts Replacement of any component that cannot be repaired
Accidental Damage Cover for accidental damage to any covered electrical system

What's Not Covered

Electrical Appliances Fridges, freezers, washing machines, microwaves, TVs, and other plug-in appliances
Burglar Alarms & CCTV Security systems, cameras, and alarm panels
Showers & Water Pumps Electric showers, shower pumps, and water pressure pumps
Cooker Extractors & Hoods Kitchen extractor hoods and integrated cooker units
Solar Panels & Inverters Solar power systems, panels, batteries, and inverters
Swimming Pools Pool pumps, filtration systems, lighting, and controls
External Supply Cable The electricity supply cable from the street up to your meter or fuse box (responsibility of ECG/NEDCo)
Outbuilding Electrics Power supply to detached outbuildings if on a separate meter or fed by an armoured cable
Complete Rewiring Full house rewiring (excessive wear and tear)
Rubber or Lead Cables Older rubber or lead-sheathed cabling (pre-dates modern standards)
Light Bulbs Replacement of bulbs, tubes, or LED units
Plugs & Extension Cords Electrical plugs, extension cords, and multi-way adaptors
